We’re raising a glass to some exciting news. Hanbury London Dry Gin has been awarded a Gold Medal at The Global Spirits Masters Gin Masters 2025, one of the most respected blind-tasting competitions in the world.

The Global Spirits Masters is known for its impartial judging and rigorous standards. An expert panel of spirits specialists, buyers, and drinks writers evaluate each gin on aroma, flavour, balance, and overall quality. To take home Gold is a true mark of excellence—and we couldn’t be prouder.

A taste of Islington, recognised worldwide

Our little distillery sits on the corner of Linton Street and Mary Street in Islington, where every batch of Hanbury London Dry Gin is crafted with care. We like to think our gin embodies both the heritage of London’s distilling tradition and the energy of our vibrant neighbourhood.

Hanbury Gin is distilled in small batches using our beautiful 140-litre copper still. Seven carefully chosen botanicals—juniper berries, orange peel, angelica root, cassia, cardamom, coriander, and liquorice—are weighed by hand to ensure perfect balance and depth of flavour. The result is a spirit that’s smooth, layered with citrus and spice, and unmistakably full of character.

No shortcuts are ever taken at Hanbury. From gently steaming the botanicals to extract their essence, to slow distillation, hand bottling, and even writing each batch and bottle number by hand, we take pride in every step. It’s this dedication that makes each bottle unique—and now officially award-winning.

Since opening in 2021, our mission has been simple: to create a London Dry Gin of outstanding flavour, character, and quality. This Gold Medal is a testament to that vision, and to the passion of our head distiller Todd and the whole Hanbury team.
